Congratulations to Max Sandrin, Max Li, Ryan Zhang, Cohen Goetzman, and Liam Connelly on receiving awards of distinction in the Canadian Computing Competition that they participated in last month!
This annual programming competition for secondary school students is hosted by the University of Waterloo and challenges students to design and implement algorithms in a three-hour contest.

Today, Gr. 12 biology and AP biology students had the opportunity to participate in a DNA fingerprinting workshop led by the Ontario Science Centre at TMU. Students engaged in hands-on applications of molecular genetics, using methods of DNA extraction, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and Gel Electrophoresis to analyze their own genotype at the D1S80 locus.
